Recently I got in trouble with my ISP because of using torrents and downloading “stuff” that they say, I should not be downloading. After I manage to fix the problem and got my internet service back, I decided to never be in that situation again. I just see this as a attack on my privacy.
So the idea is to block IP addreses that may be monitoring what I do. After some searching I manage to found a list of IPS to block. You can download this list from here.
Now how to enable it in UTorrent. ![]()
1)First rename the nipfilter.dat file to ipfilter.dat file
2)Move the ipfilter.dat file to the UTorrent Application data folder. The application data folder will be located in some path similar to this one C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\uTorrent
Notice that my administrator user may be not the user you are using, so the path will be something like C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSER\Application Data\uTorrent
3) Set the IPFilter option to true in UTorrent

Also you can do this with Peer Guardian 2 ![]()
1)First download Peer Guardian 2 here
2) Rename the ipfilter.dat file to ipfilter.p2p
3)Add the list to Peer Guardian 2. To do this, click on the “List Manager” Button of Peer guardian
Then Click the Add button

Select the ipfilter.p2p file

Click the Ok button, after the cache is done, you should have 2 lists

This is just for precaution, because peer guardian has a pretty good list anyways.
This will hopefully block all the IP Addresses that may get their nouses where they don’t belong.
